Over a year following the incident where Akon propelled a 15-year-old off the stage, justice has finally been served, albeit in a seemingly lenient manner.
The penalty for such an act appears to be set at $350, coupled with a requirement for 65 hours of community service.
The event unfolded on June 3, 2007, in Fishkill, a quaint town in upstate New York.
While performing at Dutchess Stadium, Akon grew vexed with a fan named Anthony C Smith’s conduct.
Mistakingly believing the 15-year-old had thrown something at him, Akon proceeded to lift and cast him off the stage into the audience.

Opting to plead guilty to lesser charges, he accepted a fine of $350 (£226) and committed to dedicating 65 hours to community service focused on combating gang activity and violence.
This obligation must be fulfilled by June 2009.
Additionally, if Akon faces another arrest within the next year, he will be required to return to Fishkill.
As reported by the Poughkeepsie Journal, the fan encountered Akon outside the courthouse.
Approaching the singer, he extended his hand in gratitude, saying, “Thanks.”
In response, as Akon moved to offer an apology, the boy’s father interjected, reminding Akon of his actions, stating, “You threw my son
