**Tyler Francis Sets the Record Straight on Fatherhood: “Leave Me Alone”**

In a candid interview on the “Dear Future Wifey” podcast, Tyler Francis, known for his stint on Netflix’s *Love Is Blind*, addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his role as a father to his biological children.

After the show’s latest season brought his family situation to light, Tyler felt it was time to clarify his stance.

At 34 years old, Tyler has maintained that he sees himself primarily as a “sperm donor” rather than an active father figure.

This claim came into question when photos surfaced of him celebrating holidays with his kids.

The children’s mother, Bri Thomas, subsequently took to Instagram to assert that Tyler owes child support and has been largely absent from their lives since gaining fame through the show.

Tyler explained, “I wasn’t active, so it’s tough for people to say, ‘He was active; there are pictures, there are videos.’” He emphasized that any snapshots of him with the kids are few and far between.

Drawing a parallel, he remarked that one could compile a highlight reel of their life to present a certain narrative, which is what he feels is happening in this case.

His relationship with Bri took a turn after the birth of their first child.

Initially stepping into a fatherly role, Tyler said he wanted to support Bri, who was ending her relationship with her fiancée and wished for their son to have a dad.

However, when Bri reconciled with her ex, Tyler claimed she encouraged him to pull back from their family dynamic.

“I want the kids to have two parents—not a dad who just pops in and out,” Tyler stated.

He expressed his desire for a genuine partnership in parenting, rather than a casual presence that only surfaces during special events.

Since appearing on *Love Is Blind*, he insists that the idea of him being an absentee father is misleading.

While he occasionally played a part in the kids’ lives, his intention was never to take on a full-time father role.

As he embarks on a new chapter with his fiancée, Ashley Adionser, he hopes for a fresh start devoid of past complications.

“I want them to have their family and leave me alone,” Tyler declared.

He clarified that while he appreciates the innocence of his children, he prefers not to be linked with the broader family dynamics that come with them.

Feeling more like a “glorified babysitter” than a father, Tyler voiced his frustration regarding the expectations placed upon him.

He acknowledged that his primary focus is on building his future with Ashley, distancing himself from past responsibilities.

Addressing criticism about revealing his family situation to Ashley late in their engagement, Tyler expressed regret over not sharing this information sooner.

He recognized that discussing his children in the *Love Is Blind* pods didn’t accurately reflect the reality of his relationship with them.

“I wish I had been open with Ashley right from the start,” he admitted.

Yet, he also noted that Ashley is a strong, independent woman capable of making her own choices.

Reflecting on his actions during filming, Tyler confessed that he was attempting to sidestep the topic but ended up realizing the cameras were rolling.

He later had more meaningful discussions off-camera to clarify his feelings and circumstances.

As fans continue to follow his journey, Tyler Francis remains a complex figure, navigating fatherhood, relationships, and public perception—all while trying to carve out a path that honors both his past and his future.

For those eager to catch up on the drama, *Love Is Blind* Season 7 is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
