Shortly afterward, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ account echoed these sentiments with their own brief message.
Despite the anticipation surrounding Harry’s special day, clues suggested that the royals intended to commemorate it.
A notable precedent was set last year when Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, turned 41.
At that time, the official royal account notably did not wish her a happy birthday, leading to widespread speculation about the reasons behind the oversight.
Royal commentator Richard Palmer shed light on this situation, explaining that the late Queen had established a new protocol regarding birthday messages.
He noted in the Daily Express that the royal website chose not to mark the birthdays of non-working royals unless those birthdays ended in a zero, which played a role in the lack of acknowledgment for Meghan’s birthday.
