Alison Carey, the estranged sister of Mariah Carey, found herself in hot water on Friday following her arrest for allegedly offering s**ual services to an undercover officer in exchange for money at a hotel in Saugerties, New York.
The incident unfolded during an undercover operation conducted by the Saugerties Police Department.
Police Chief Joseph Sinagra described Alison as transient and disclosed that she claimed to be the sibling of the renowned pop star Mariah Carey.
Authorities initiated the sting operation after discovering an online advertisement promoting Alison’s services.
Reports suggest that Mariah and her sister have had a strained relationship for an extended period.
A source mentioned that Mariah is known for supporting her entire family and indicated that this situation must be deeply distressing for her.
According to a publication by the local newspaper Daily Freeman, one of Alison’s ads featured a description that read, “I am an attractive woman seeking gentlemen interested in experiencing unique pleasures that other women cannot offer you.
I possess the ability to make your world tremble and show you the stars, just like in a sweet fantasy, baby, with me taking you on a journey beyond your imagination,” making a subtle reference to the lyrics from Mariah’s popular song “Fantasy.”
In light of the circumstances, Saugerties Police Chief advised individuals who may have engaged with Alison to seek medical advice.
Following her arrest, Alison was formally charged and remanded to Ulster County Jail, with her court appearance scheduled for August 30th.
