Margot Robbie’s Strict Protocol for Filming Intimate Scenes Revealed

Margot Robbie, the acclaimed actress, has a stringent rule in place when it comes to portraying intimate scenes on screen, which stems from a past embarrassing incident.

In 2021, Margot engaged in a conversation with Graham Norton on his popular UK talk show, accompanied by co-stars Alison Janney, Alicia Vikander, and Daniel Kaluuya.

Naturally, the discussion veered towards the topic of on-screen intimacy.

Having left a lasting impression in Hollywood by disrobing alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the 2013 film “The Wolf of Wall Street,” Margot now navigates such scenes with seasoned finesse.

However, Margot, along with Alicia, were taken aback when they discovered that makeup artists on set would offer actors a mint before shooting kissing scenes.

Alicia Vikander amusingly shared, “My co-actor handed me a mint, and I was unsure whether to perceive it as a kind gesture or an implication that my breath was unpleasant and needed freshening up!”

Contrarily, Daniel, known for his role in “Get Out,” encountered a misstep in French kissing etiquette.

Confessing his gaffe, he said, “I unknowingly breached decorum by using tongue.

I was under the impression we were striving for authenticity.”

He added, “Later, I learned that inserting tongue is reserved for expressions of genuine attraction.

That realization left me flustered.”

Reflecting on her early experiences in Hollywood, Margot disclosed how she adopted her own set of rules to abide by.

During the show, she shared, “Early on, I was advised not to incorporate tongue.

This advice stuck with me.

Consequently, I now relay the same guidance to others: ‘Keep it cool, but refrain from using tongue.’”

Margot also divulged that the kissing scenes in “The Wolf of Wall Street” demanded a grueling 17 hours to shoot, devoid of any romantic allure.

Recalling the taxing ordeal, she mentioned, “My friends probed me relentlessly, eager to know about his kissing prowess.

I simply informed them that his on-screen kisses were commendable.”

She elaborated, “After enduring long takes spanning 17 hours, there was no sense of romance or enchantment.

The environment was sweltering and fatiguing.”

Furthermore, Margot noted, “As filming progressed, the frequent n^dty became so routine that it ceased to evoke any reaction among the cast.”
