Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are choosing to pause and assess their situation, particularly when it comes to their children, Archie and Lilibet.
A royal expert has suggested that the couple is opting to “let the dust settle” as they navigate recent political developments in the U.S.
The backdrop of this decision is the recent election victory of Donald Trump, which has sparked conversations about what lies ahead for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in America.
Back in 2020, they refrained from openly supporting Joe Biden but did encourage voters to “reject hate speech and misinformation,” a sentiment many interpreted as a critique of Trump.

Trump, during a chat with Nigel Farage on GB News, hinted that if it turns out Harry falsified information on his visa application, he would advocate for “appropriate action.”
This assertion came alongside Trump’s claim that Biden’s administration has been overly lenient towards the Sussexes since they relocated to the States.

She emphasized that Archie, now five, and Lilibet, three, are well-adjusted to their life in Montecito, and the parents would want to maintain that sense of normalcy for them.
Bond remarked, “They seem very content in their Californian lifestyle, and I’m sure they don’t want to disrupt their children’s lives unnecessarily.”
Interestingly, the couple does have an alternative option.
They recently acquired a vacation home in Portugal, conveniently located near the residence of Princess Eugenie, Harry’s cousin.
This could provide a potential escape route should they feel the need to distance themselves from the intensifying political climate in the U.S.
While the Sussexes have encountered their fair share of controversies, their focus appears firmly anchored on family
