Elvis Presley reportedly had relationships with 14-year-old girlfriends while on tour at the age of 22, according to claims made by author Joel Williamson in his book Elvis Presley: A Southern Life.
The historian alleges that the iconic musician engaged in activities such as pillow fights, tickling, wrestling, and kissing with underage girls, some as young as 14, as detailed in the book and reported by Vice.
Williamson also recounts an incident where Presley purportedly slept with a teenager, leading to a condom mishap.
The star sought help from his bandmates and crew, eventually taking the girl to the hospital while contacting his 15-year-old lover, Dixie Locke.
During the years 1952-1955, Presley dated Locke before parting ways upon meeting his future wife, Priscilla, who was just 14 at the time.
Their relationship developed over the years, culminating in marriage in 1967 when Priscilla was 22.
Reports suggest that Elvis and Priscilla engaged in intimate activities on their first night together, stopping short of penetration, with the book emphasizing Presley’s desire to maintain Priscilla’s virginity.
Decades after Elvis’s passing, Priscilla reflected on their unconventional relationship, acknowledging that it would be viewed differently in modern times.
Speaking about their bond on Good Morning Britain, she highlighted the stark contrast between past societal norms and present-day standards.
Priscilla shared insights into Elvis’s final days during a talk at SXSW in Austin, Texas, revealing the challenges faced by those close to him in attempting to intervene in his self-destructive behavior.
Despite efforts to help him, Presley’s unwavering independence and self-assurance prevented others from influencing his decisions.
Reflecting on the past, Priscilla emphasized the complexities of managing Elvis’s personal struggles, shedding light on the dynamics within his inner circle and the limitations they faced in supporting him effectively.
