Dana White’s Regretful Incident: UFC President Acknowledges Altercation with Wife

UFC president Dana White has expressed regret after being involved in a heated argument with his wife, Anne, which led to him slapping her during a New Year’s Eve celebration in Mexico.

The altercation, captured on camera and later made public by TMZ, showed Mrs. White covering her face as the couple engaged in a dispute while partying in Cabo San Lucas.

In the video footage, Dana White can be seen taking hold of his wife’s wrists after she slapped him in response to his actions.

Following the incident, White admitted to TMZ that the situation was unfortunate and embarrassing, emphasizing that there is never a justification for a man to lay hands on a woman.

He revealed that he and his wife have been married for nearly three decades and have known each other since childhood.

Acknowledging the severity of the situation, White emphasized that their main focus now is on their three children.

Despite the public scrutiny and opinions surrounding the incident, he stressed the importance of prioritizing their family’s well-being over external judgments.

The couple has addressed the issue with their children, showing them the video and emphasizing the significance of family unity during challenging times.

Having served as the head of the UFC since 2001, Dana White has played a pivotal role in establishing the organization as a global powerhouse in mixed martial arts.

With notable fighters like Conor McGregor under its banner, the UFC has cemented its status as a leading entity in the combat sports world.

Reflecting on the incident, White attributed part of the conflict to the consumption of alcohol but refused to use it as an excuse for his actions.

He admitted that such behavior had never occurred before and took full responsibility for his actions, expressing remorse for the incident.

Both Dana and Anne White have apologized to each other and their children, emphasizing the importance of moving forward as a united family unit.

In a statement to TMZ, Anne White echoed her husband’s sentiments, emphasizing that the altercation was out of character for Dana and resulted from excessive drinking on New Year’s Eve.

She underscored the family’s commitment to resolving the issue internally and requested privacy from the public to safeguard their children’s well-being amidst the scrutiny.

The Whites, who have been married since 1995 and share two sons and a daughter, have navigated this challenging situation with a focus on reconciliation and familial harmony.

Dana White’s acknowledgment of the incident and the subsequent efforts to address it internally highlight the couple’s commitment to confronting and learning from their mistakes while safeguarding their family’s privacy and well-being.
