Recently, court documents obtained by Variety revealed that Amber Heard accused Jason Momoa of imitating Johnny Depp’s style and being intoxicated while shooting the “Aquaman” sequel.
According to Variety’s report on the therapist’s notes, Heard alleged that Momoa exhibited behavior resembling Depp, including being under the influence and wearing attire reminiscent of the actor.
These notes were disclosed as part of the legal proceedings involving Heard and Depp’s defamation cases from the previous year.
In response to these accusations, a representative for DC stated that Momoa consistently maintained professionalism during the filming of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.’
Despite reaching out to Momoa’s spokesperson for a comment, no response was provided to Variety.
While a source present on set acknowledged that Momoa enjoys an occasional beer like anyone else, they refuted claims of him appearing intoxicated while working.
The source also emphasized that Momoa’s style has always reflected a bohemian aesthetic, rather than imitating Depp’s appearance.
Both Heard and Momoa’s representatives refrained from commenting when contacted by Insider outside regular business hours.
During the defamation trial involving Depp last year, Heard testified about her efforts to remain in the movie and ultimately accepting a reduced role.
Kathryn Arnold, an industry expert who supported Heard as a witness, highlighted Momoa’s advocacy as instrumental in retaining Heard’s part in the film.
The much-anticipated sequel, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” following the success of 2018’s “Aquaman,” is scheduled for release on December 20.
In conclusion, the unfolding events between Heard and Momoa on the set of ‘Aquaman’ shed light on behind-the-scenes dynamics and the challenges faced by actors in the film industry.
