Uma Thurman’s Bold Role: Embracing a Naughty and Fun Side

Actress Uma Thurman ventured into uncharted territory when she bared it all for a daring lesbian s** scene in a movie, labeling the experience as both ‘naughty’ and ‘fun’.

In the 2018 ‘crime comedy caper’ film, The Con is On, Thurman took on the role of the audacious ‘hustler’ Harriet Fox, sharing the screen with stars like Sofia Vergara, Stephen Fry, and Alice Eve.

Despite her character being wed to Peter, portrayed by Tim Roth, she engaged in a sizzling lesbian encounter with Maggie Q’s character.

The storyline follows Uma’s character, Harriet, and her husband as they venture to Los Angeles on a mission to pull off a jewelry heist in a bid to settle Harriet’s debts owed to the menacing gangster, Irina, played by Maggie Q.

Their scheme involves stealing the wedding ring of Alice Eve’s character, hoping to appease Irina.

However, as expected in such capers, things take unexpected turns.

Uma Thurman, who hits the age of 53 today (April 29), seemed to relish her portrayal of a character distinct from her previous roles.

She found the portrayal of Harriet, an assertive and unapologetically ruthless woman, a refreshing change from the typical timid female characters often seen on screen.

In an interview with Vogue, Uma shared her delight in embodying such a rebellious character, mentioning, “For a female character, she’s so completely unintimidated; and I’m sorry to say this, but it’s kind of nice to see a female character be so ruthless.”

Furthermore, Uma expressed her enjoyment portraying the mischievous side of her character, emphasizing that it was a source of genuine fun for her.

Delving into the wardrobe choices for the movie, Thurman revealed that most of the costumes worn by her character were actually pieces from her personal collection, with only a couple of exceptions.
