**Parker McCollum Praises Miranda Lambert for Keeping Him Grounded**

Parker McCollum recently opened up about his friendship with Miranda Lambert, revealing how the renowned country singer keeps him in check.

During a lively chat on the red carpet of the 2024 CMA Awards, McCollum shared some candid insights about their bond and his musical journey.

“I’ve admired her for ages,” said McCollum, 32, expressing his excitement about performing alongside Lambert during the awards show.

They collaborated on the song “Santa Fe,” featured on her latest album, *Postcards from Texas*.

For McCollum, sharing the stage with Lambert was an absolute dream that felt surreal.

The CMA Awards were a star-studded affair where McCollum joined other country legends like Lainey Wilson, Jamey Johnson, Chris Stapleton, and, of course, Lambert, to pay tribute to George Strait.

The duo performed “Troubadour,” adding a special touch to the event.

Reflecting on their friendship, McCollum stated, “She’s a true friend who isn’t afraid to call me out when I’m being ridiculous.

That’s how you know someone genuinely cares.” This kind of honest relationship is rare in the entertainment industry, making it all the more valuable.

Looking back at his year, McCollum highlighted his performance with George Strait in June as one of the standout moments, alongside his collaboration with Lambert.

“It’s crazy to think about everything that’s happened this year; sometimes I forget just how much I’ve accomplished,” he admitted.

Earlier this year, McCollum discussed his new album, *Never Enough*, and reflected on advice Lambert had given him.

“She once told me, ‘Just slow down.

You have what it takes, but don’t rush it,’” he recalled, emphasizing how that wisdom resonated with him.

It’s a reminder that even in a fast-paced industry, patience can be a virtue.

McCollum has long dreamed of working with Lambert and Strait, expressing hope for future collaborations.

While he acknowledges that getting the chance to sing with Strait might be a stretch, he remains optimistic.

“I’ll always hold onto that hope,” he said with a smile.

Lambert’s new album, released in September, features McCollum as its only guest artist across the 14 tracks.

She spoke about the significance of returning to her roots in Texas to create this album.

“I hadn’t recorded in Texas since I was 18,” she noted, highlighting the importance of the location in her creative process.

In creating *Postcards from Texas*, Lambert teamed up with Jon Randall, her longtime friend and collaborator.

“Going back home felt right for this new chapter in my career,” she explained, underscoring the inspiration she drew from her surroundings.

With a fresh team behind her at Republic Records, Lambert feels reenergized and focused on her music.

“This new team has ignited a fire within me,” she shared, hinting at the exciting directions her music may take in the future.

As both artists continue to rise in the country music scene, their mutual respect and support for each other shine brightly.

McCollum’s admiration for Lambert and her willingness to guide him speaks volumes about the camaraderie that exists among artists in the industry.
